Kaspar Hauser Records

Four years ago we planned on doing a split 7” with two Belgian bands: Alosta’s Steamer Cry Wolf and the Antwerpians of tRAM. The tracks actually made it to the pressing plant in Germany and a test pressing was made. This turned out to be very bad. The sound was overall rather distorted which was maybe due to bad mastering. Anyway, after the people at the pressing company promised to have a look at it, we didn’t hear from them in a while. Turned out they went bankrupt, so we had to find another decent, affordable presser that was willing to do a limited run on a 7” (we were thinking of having about 150 copies made). As that was a pretty hard search, it took a while, and at some point both bands actually split up, so the 7” was eventually never released.

We feel this would have been a very nice release, and with only the 3 test copies ever actually pressed, we decided to put the two songs online for free as mp3’s, along with the proposed artwork by visual artist Céline Butaye.
